Hello
I would greatly appreciate any assistance with this problem. I have a comma seperated file: "1234-3344-4443","05/21/02 12:37:22","Mr George Smith","mastercard","1234567891234567","10","04","Mr George Smith.","107 Jones Bay Rd ","Melbourne","2227","NSW","sdfgsdf@optusnet.com.au","021234 65678wk)","day","52.85","0.00","0.00","0.00","6.50"," ","59.35"," "," ","0.00"," "," "," ","BEGIN_ITEM","cream","10.55","1","Plus Cream","END_ITEM","BEGIN_ITEM","oil","11.95","1","Meg0 Oile","END_ITEM" I am very keen to get this it into a comma delimited file so I can import it into my database (ACT! 4.0). Is that possible? Thanks in advance. _________________ Regards Brendon [ This Message was edited by: Brendon on 2002-05-21 11:06 ] [ This Message was edited by: Brendon on 2002-05-21 11:07 ] |

You should be able to open this in Excel and let it parse when you open it; then do a save as type=comma delimited.
Hope this is what you wanted and it helps. Audrey |

Thanks for the response Audrey
Please excuse my ignorance, but what does 'parse' mean? Thanks. |

Hello Audrey (he says rather sheepishly)
I've just done something I know I, as a male, shouldn't have done. That's right Audrey. I used the 'Help' function in Excel. Problem solved. Thanks for your help and have a great day. |
