XL 2000 hangs on workbook with VB buttons

I've developed a business performance tool, which models a financial evaluation distinction of various performance levels for a business, individual or team.

I've used Excel 2000, with VBA to create a series of buttons related to answers which then provide scoring to a 'proprietary' formula for establishing a benchmark and other measurements and graphics.

Now, when I go to open the file, with the buttons, the workbook freezes and will not open the file. The file is a 2meg file. Seems I am running out of memory space, but no error messages appear.

I've gone through the process of downloading and updating Excell 2000 SR 1 to SR 1a. Still hangs or freezes.

Hey,

Have you tried to open this file on another machine? This might give you some clearer direction on what the problem is (the file vs your machine).

Of course it wouldn't hurt to delete *.tmp files, free up some space, run Scandisk, and maybe a defrag.

when exactly does the file freeze in the opening sequence, ie where does it stop at.

2mb is just fine

seemm low memory how do you know this>
you say Excel 2000 but what opperating system ar you using
is the system networked.

Yes. It will open on other machines. I did clean out the .tmp file and it opened easily. Thanks for the quick fix. Should have come here yesterday!

You guys are now on the top of all my XL development.
