When I open up one of my workbooks, it gives me the message that I have links to other workbooks and asks if I would like to update them now.
I did not create this particular workbook and I am sure that whatever data is being linked in is not necessary. I would like to find the cells where these links are and get rid of them to eliminate that message box coming up all the time. The problem is that I can't find the cells! I have encountered this problem in the past, and have always been able to select all sheets and search for the string ".xls" in the formulas to find the link. This isn't working this time. Any ideas how to find these cells???? Thanks!! |

There's a greate add-in - the can be accessed via Chip Pearson's web site -
It's named LinkFind - by Bill Manville. http://www.cpearson.com/excel/xltools.htm Check the range names for links (global & sheet lvl) - Any hidden tabs ? _________________ Thxs for tips - this place is a great source tips & tricks G_L [ This Message was edited by: Gary_E on 2002-05-22 13:17 ] |

You can also try doing the following:
Edit|Links...
