macros 97 vs 2000

Is it somtimes impossible that macros done in 2000 just will not work in 97 no matter what you do, or is there always a way to sort them out???

Just curious and thought I'd ask before I tear my hair out!

yes.
no. some things can be recoded to work in 97. got a specific problem?

Yes, I do but I think I already know just by the nature of the code it will be in the 'no' basket!!!.

Just wanted to make sure some things were really just usable in 2000 only. Am not even going to pursue it - know it will only result in heartache and tears!!
