Word vs Excel

And also...

I have several huge documents I work on, mostly 150 pages or so, and of this mostly it'll be a header on a page follosed by a table which takes up the whole page.

Now I know Word was not exactly made to work with a huge document full of tables - even using breaks you have to deal with split tables etc when making amendments (or God forbid if someone else has to enter something)I can work my way around the idiosyncracies no trouble but it still is not a perfect program for that sort of thing. It's all just text - no numbers, no calculations.

Sometimes I wonder if using Excel is a better option, but it isn't really made for that sort of thing either.

Does anyone have any opinion about the best place to put a massive document of mostly tables, some graphics, needs opdating periodically?

Just curious...

Don't know about the 'massive' issue, but I've always founs that power point coped with graphic / tables and text combinations more efficiently (and on occasions with better stability) that excel or word. Often doesn't look as good though

Or how about pdf's??

I hadn't thought of Power Point - haven't used it much so I may check that out.

Oh thank you very much, I'll definitely check that out!! I know pretty well how to fix anything quickly that comes up, but it's always good to know if you can stop things from happening in the first place!

As for the beating, well......
