Maybe I am just tired...I am adding some formulas to spreadsheets which reference other worksheets in the same file. I have done this many times.
When I hit enter, a warning comes up that the file is not found???? I have compared the formulas to other IDENTICAL formulas in other files, and cannot find any mistakes. I have to move on for now, but was wondering if anyone knew what this means? Time to go home, maybe?? |

Could it be the file was accidentally moved? If it is on a shared network drive that happens sometimes or maybe it was renamed. I would check those first.

Let me try to be a little more clear, sorry -I am not even trying to save the file, I am just trying to reference another worksheet and it is acting like the worksheet isn't there, I guess...

Yes - but that could still be the issue! Go to your Windows Explorer and look for the other referenced workbooks.

OOPS - sorry I was thinking of other files but you clearly said worksheets within the same file! Not the issue. Are the reference names spelled correctly or are you actually going to the reference point and clicking it?

I figured it out...I was trying to reference worksheet tabs, and for some reason, if I try to include the tab name in a formula, there cannot be any spaces between the name on the tab;
i.e. Day1SUM cannot be DAY 1 SUM I renamed all the tabs and there doesn't seem to be any issues. I knew this from a while ago, and apparently forgot. THANKS TO ALL!! |
