Hyperlinks

I use hyperlinks on several sheets, several open up folders that are fairly deep - it's a quicker than drilling down in Window's explorer.

However, when the window pops up, it's the explorer type (has the browser tree at the left hand side.

I don't want this - I just want an old fashioned, regular, plain old 'normal' window.

Any ideas?

Did you not accidentally activate the browser when yiu linked the Hyperlink.I sure you could fix this problem in you window settings.

many thanks for the reply.

as far as i know, i can't change the windows settings - i used the hyperlink funcion before (a while back, i think under win95). Now on an NT workstation, i get the extra, unwanted left hand side bit.

sorry if it sounds like a moan, but it takes *ages* to 'fill' up. must be a slow network connection or something.
