Can anyone help me out, I have just a normal data base with addresses and phone numbers in excel....suddenly I can't open it, as it states, file format not valid...what happened, how do I retrieve this file

Kay,
If it's really knackered you could try opening it in a text editor (eg notepad), saving the file as a text file (mydatabase.txt) then open the text file in excel. NB - if you do this, none of you original formatting will be preserved, so you'll have to go & re0format everything. Hope this helps, Paddy |
