Printing mailing labels from EXCEL

Is it possible to print mailing labels from an excel worksheet? I have a list with names and addresses on it, can I have Excel print that into labels?

Hi liz_23:
Yes, you can print mailing labels from an excel spreadsheet. Couple of considerations ...
1) Would you want to print all labels, a consecutive set of labels, or for names to be looked up from your dataset by using a function such as the INDEX or VLOOKUP function.
2) Would you want to print them on an 8.5 x 11 sheet on an inkjet or laser printer, or would you want to print them on a Dot Matrix printer.

In any event, yes you can setup to print one at a time, a sheetful at a time, or based on your selection specification.

You may also consider using Word's mail-merge to print the labels using your dataset from Excel.

If you need further help please post back showing part of your Name and Address dataset.

I’m often commenting I do not use Word *even refuse to have word on any of my PC’s* this is very real and true.

Word is the queen of this task, as an excel lover, I suggest forget complications and use Words *best * asset and link excel as the data source.

I’m convinced our MVP Dreamboat has a site that will give rich wonderful methods and detailed information on exactly how best to do this.

I strongly suggest forgetting Excel for this task!
