How can i change a cell color when a sheet is protected but the cell isnt locked I need a code please help |

I don't understand. If the cell is not protected, you should be able to change the color.
What is happening? Please give more information.

My macro fails because when a worksheet is protected you cant change cell formats
is there a way |

When I read this post I was sure some posts would be way off the mark, im no VBA guru but I suggest post the code in this SUB and we can have a go,
FIX You need to un protect, with the password and then make the changes required then re protect this way no one the wiser but you get the result REMEMBER when VBA runs the sheets dead not one can stop it bare jumping out of cause but to do that is silly you code sounds small and will execute at a snap HTH
