Hi,
Is there an easy way to create an excel graphics charts with date and time in the following conditions : - I'm trying to show the time that a computer job is running. - So there is a beginning date and a beginning time and of course an ending date and an ending time. - The beginning date and ending date can be different. That means that the job can run from e.g. 05/31/02 10 pm until 06/01/02 2 am. Of course it is not always true the job can end the same day. - As you noticed with the above example the ending time is after midnight. - In the few test that I made. I have of course the line which represent the ending time of my job at the bottom of the charts and the beginning time of my job at the top of my charts. Of course, I want them to be the upset way around. So is there an easy way to do this with Excel, or do I have to do some calculation to have my graphics with the look that I want. Thanks for your help. Bye. P.S. : I'm using Excel 97 [ This Message was edited by: olidel on 2002-05-31 07:45 ] [ This Message was edited by: on 2002-05-31 07:51 ] |

Can't this be done like a Gantt chart? See http://www.mrexcel.com/#tow.
Or... use a 2-series Bar Chart with Overlap set 100, and the 2nd series pattern set to match the Plot Area pattern. The 1st series' point values are the begin date/times. The 2nd series' point values are the end date/times. [ This Message was edited by: Mark W. on 2002-06-01 16:18 ] |
