I began saving macros in various workbooks that I was creating. I thought I saved them all to the "Personal" workbook. Now when I open excel, all the workbooks in which I ever saved a macro open. This happens now even though I deleted all the macros. How to I make excel open only a new worksheet when I first open it, and none of these other workbooks? Thx for any help.

Is there an entry in the "Alternate startup file location" field on the Tools | Options... | General tab?

Just do file search on c: drive for XLstart.
Also I think sometimes even though you remove the code from a module in a macro recorded in "THis Work book" you need to remove the module the code was in(even if it's empty) |
