Power Excel Tips & Tricks and Excel for Auditors Seminars in Milwaukee, WI on November 8, 2007

Thanks to the Milwaukee Chapter of the IIA, Bill Jelen will be bringing his Power Excel Tips & Tricks and Excel for Auditors seminars to Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Thursday, November 8, 2007.

Morning Session: 8:30 - 12:00 pm "Power Tips and Tricks for Microsoft Excel" with Bill Jelen.

Course Description: You use Excel 40 hours a week, but do you really know how to unleash the power of Excel? Learn cool secrets and tricks lurking on the Data menu. Learn the ins and outs of Pivot Tables (from the guy who wrote the book on pivot tables!). Create slick charts in a single button click. Add thousands of subtotals in seconds. Don’t be tortured by bad data any longer. Learn some of the changes made in Excel 2007. Participants in the session will receive a copy of Jelen’s book, Learn Excel from MrExcel which is comprised of 277 questions and solutions posed to him during his seminars. Jelen loves new questions and will incorporate them in the seminar. Send your Excel questions in advance via e-mail or bring them to the seminar. Jelen promises, “If you use Excel 40 hours per week, you will save 100 hours each year by attending this seminar!”

Participants of the afternoon session will receive a copy of Bill Jelen's book Learn Excel from MrExcel - 277 Excel Mysteries Solved.

Afternoon Session: 1:00 - 4:00 "Excel for Auditors" with Bill Jelen.

Course Description: Learn more tricks for Excel useful in performing audits. Learn several ways to find duplicates or a unique list of values. Create stratifications, look for outliers, and pull random samples. Create charts that don’t look like they are native to Excel. You will walk through more detailed case studies where you will need to combine several Excel techniques in order to create a solution. Bring a laptop to follow along. Excel for Auditors is a 207 page book that covers both Excel 2003 and Excel 2007.

Participants of the afternoon session will receive a copy of Bill Jelen's book Excel for Auditors.

IIA Members   - $75 per session; $110 for full day seminar
Non-members - $90 per session; $125 for full day seminar

Registration Note: Due to having books shipped to Madison, Wisconsin, please register by October 30, 2007 to receive your copy of Learn Excel from MrExcel at the seminar. If you register after that date, your book may not be available at the seminar, but will be shipped to you after the seminar.

Continuing Professional Education: Sessions are tailored to meet the CPE guidelines of certification and/or licensing agencies as nearly as possible. CPE attendance forms will be available at the conference. Authority for granting CPE credits is reserved, however, solely to these licensing agencies.
