Where do You use Excel?

Grab a digital camera and snap a picture of where you use Excel! Whether you use Excel in an office or on board a racing yacht, we would like to document the great variety of places where Excel is being used.

Guidelines:
  • The photo must include a computer monitor (desktop or laptop) showing Excel.
  • Photos with or without people are fine. If there are people in the photo, please provide a working e-mail address for anyone who can be identified.
  • Try for locations that are visually interesting. If you work in an office that supports development of the space shuttle, try to get a picture of you with a laptop in front of the space shuttle.
  • Photos should be a minimum of 1 Megapixel. They can be as large as you wish, but please make sure that they can zip to under 2.5MB
  • Photos can be digitally altered to adjust color, but the intent is to show you really using Excel in that location. Don't crop yourself into the top of Mt. Everest if you don't really use Excel there.
  • If it is not entirely obvious, include a description of the location.
  • You should be the sole copyright owner of the photo. Please don't submit photos that you downloaded from the web or scanned from a publication.
  • By entering the photo contest, you are granting permission for it to be posted on the MrExcel.com website or to be printed in future Holy Macro! Books publications.
  • Include your name and contact information with your e-mail.
  • Send entries to consult @ mrexcel.com. Be sure to include "Photo Contest" in the subject of the e-mail
  • All entries will be acknowledged within 24 hours. If you do not receive an acknowledgement, assume that the e-mail was misdirected and try again. If multiple e-mails are rejected, try sending an e-mail without the attachment notifying us of the difficulty.
  • Deadline is midnight (your local time) on Friday, January 28, 2005.
Prizes:
  • Every photo published on the MrExcel.com website will receive a free book or CD from the Holy Macro! Books catalog (ARV $19.95 to $99.00). Photos will be posted on this page by Monday, January 31, 2005.
  • Readers of MrExcel will be able to vote for the photo showing the most exotic location. The winner of this voting will win the One of Each Bundle (ARV $375) from Holy Macro! Books.
