PodZinger Searches the Audio of Podcasts
This is an amazing thing. I heard about PodZinger on a recent edition of Inside the Net.
These guys took technology that was developed for some spying project and decided to commercialize it to help people search the audio content. Basically, you can now do a text search for anything that I have said in the last 16 weeks of Learn Excel from MrExcel Podcasts.
It works fairly well for search. When their algorithm hears a word and isn't absolutely sure it is a word, they replace it with "--". So at the beginning of each podcast, you will see... "Welcome back to the Mr Excel podcast, I'm Bill --", because they can't believe I would be saying Jelen.
But - if you search for MIN or MAX or SUM, you can probably find the podcasts where I talked about those. Give it a spin - use the PodZinger search box at http://www.mrexcel.com/search.shtml
