Custom Chart - how do you create a user-defined custom type chart?

i like to use custom charts. there is a built-in chart called 'Line - Column on 2 Axes.'

i'd like to create a variation on that theme called 'Line - 100% Stacked Column on 2 Axes'. basically, same sort of chart, but instead of a simple column series, i'd like to do the 100% stacked column series instead. i think the only way to do this is using 'Custom Types-->User Defined'. is that right? could someone please get me going in the right direction? please advise. thanks in advance.

Hansoh,

To answer your basic question "How do you create a user-defined chart":

Create a chart and modify it to suit your needs.

Then right click on the chart and select "Chart Type ..."; select the "Custom Types" tab and then indicate the "User Defined" radio button, this will enable the "Add ..." button, click "Add ..". Give your chart type a unique name and you're finished.

Now when you want to use it just go to the "Custom Types" tab and select it.

good luck
