Counting the results of a auto filter on a spreadsheet

How can I count the results of an auto filter results without excel counting all the items in the original list?
Please reply as quickly as possible?

Erwin,

Right click on that status bar and a list of functions will pop up. Select Count. Apply your Autofilter apply criteria until all you have left is what you want to count. Then select a column with data and the number of rows will appear in your status bar. You might have to subtract 1 from the total because it will also count your header row if it contains information.
