Values in Excel cell

I received an excel spreadsheet and in one of the cells
there is a drop down list which contains the months of
the year. Unfortunately, the month of January is missing
from that list. Is there a way that I can include January
in that list? When I try to enter January I get the message.
"The value you entered is not valid. A user has restricted
values that can be entered into this cell"
