Concatenate date cells

I need to concatenate two date cells e.g. =+A1&"-"&B1 but the date format is lost and all I get is the value 0.375-0.75 rather than 7:30 AM-6:00 PM.

=TEXT(A1,"h:mm AM/PM")&"-"&TEXT(B1,"h:mm AM/PM")
