Pulling a date out of a number

I use the above number as a repair number. The first 5 numbers is the store identifier "05013" the next 5 is the date the repair was issued "02151" stands for Feb 15th, 2001. I would like to put this number in another cell as a valid date. Any help would be much appreciated!

Assuming your repair number is in cell A1:
=DATE(MID(A1,13,1)+2000,MID(A1,9,2),MID(A1,11,2))
