Automatic change of fill color

Hi,
I would like to change the fill color of a cell depending on if the value is positive or negative. I.e. a cell with a positive value should become green and a cell with a negative value should become red. I know that it is possible to automatically change the font color in the "Format cells", but I have not found a way to change the fill color this way.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

You're on the right track

You've almost got it. The third tab over under conditional formatting under "format cells" is called patterns- there you can change "cell shading", which is what I think you're after.
