Day of the week

Is there any way for excel to show the day of the week if you have a numerical date? i.e. 1/17/02 would show up as Thursday.

Format as dddd [nt]

Insert the date into the cell. Then "Format-Cells". Under the "Number" tab click on "Custom". In "Type" put in 'ddddd'. That should display the day of the week.
