Format to $000's

Want to change a long column of numbers which vary from $5,000,000 to $1B+ and format them to show in $000's, ie $5,600,555 would show as $5,600. Did it once but can't remember the formatting trick.

Thanks,
Dwight

Barrie,
This will show 5000
$#, will show $5000
Any idea how to get it to show as $5,000?

I tried playing but couldn't get it.

thanks,
Ian

$#,### maybe? (NT)

$#,### maybe? (NT)

That helped. I got $5,000,000 with it, but that led to
$#,###,
which looks like it worked. Thanks Aladin.

Why wouldn't you want $5,601 using $#,##0, (nt)
