Elapsed Time Calculation

I am trying to format a worksheet for a surgical department where the total amount of time spent on each surgical procedure per day will be added for a total amount of hours and minutes for a month. For example: procedures may take anywhere from 15 minutes to 6 hours 15 minutes, totaling perhaps 15 procedures per day - then totaling these hours/minutes for the overall monthly total.... Perhaps totaling 250 hours 27 minutes per month. Am user-friendly, but not an expert. Any in-depth explanation will be greatly appreciated.

Cheryl, suppose you want to sum the following times:

6:15, 5:24, 3:33, 4:40, 6:23

Simply, use Excel's SUM() function and format the
results as [h]:mm to get 25:15.
