sorting by format

I need to make a sort in a long list in Excel and the only differential aspect is the format of the cell. Does anyone know a trick for this?

You might try adding another column with the formula
=CELL("format",A1)
and sorting by that, then deleting it. If "format" doesn't work, have a look at the CELL in the help file, depending on your formats, "prefix" or "type" may work as the first argument.
