Deleting rows using a list of data

Posted by Yoli on February 28, 2001 8:44 AM

I have an excel file of employees info. Listing Employee name Column A then months in column B, C, D, etc. and # of occurence per month is listed below each month. I have been given a list of names of termed employees.
I need to be able to select and delete the employee row who was termed, using this list. Is there an easy way of doing this? I would appreciate any ones help.

Use AutoFilter to display those employee records
that you want to delete. Select the displayed
rows and choose the Edit Delete... menu command.
Rows not displayed by the filter will not be
affected by the Delete command. Once done remove
the AutoFilter and the remaining rows will be
displayed.
