DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN OPEN A POWER POINT PRESENTATION FROM EXCEL AND TO HAVE IT AUTOMATICALLY CLOSE AND RETURN TO EXCEL WHEN IT IS FINISHED RUNNING.

Steve-

instead of creating a hyperlink to the presentation, try embedding the presentation.
from the menu bar select Insert>Object>Create from File and browse to your presentation.
