Missing Customized Toolbar

Posted by Glenn on April 20, 2001 7:36 AM

When I started Excel this morning I noticed that my customized toolbar was missing. I am the only user on my computer and I haven't deleted any excel related files in the last week. Since it represented several hours of work I would like to find it...if possible.

Is there a way to find my missing Customized Toolbar? Is there a way to prevent this from occuring in the future?

Thank You
Glenn

Hi Glen

Just a few questions first

1. Was your customized toobar attached to your workbook ?

2. Are you sure it's not just hidden ?

3. When you say "customized toolbar" do you mean you created an entire Menubar, or did you just drag custom buttons onto one of excel existing toolbars?

4. Did you clicked Reset on the "Customize" dialog box? If so and it was just buttns dragged onto an existing menubar they will be gone.

Dave

1- The toolbar wasn't attached to a specific workbook. It was visible everytime I opened Excel.

2- If it is hidden I can't find it>

3- I created an entire Menubar named "In and Out". (Since the first tools I placed on the toolbar were the "delete rows" and "insert rows".)

4- I didn't click Reset on the "Customize" dialog box.

Is there a way to find my missing Customized Toolbar? Is there a way to prevent this from occuring in the future?

Thanks
Glenn
