Pulling data from Powerpoint?

This might be an off-the-wall request, but here goes.

I have a large number of Powerpoint sheets (all 1 page long),
that have a text box with a date in it.

I want to be able to make a spreadsheet that monitors all
these PPT files, and pulls the date out & lists them
every time they change.

PLEASE advise.

just a guess, but try under Insert the "Object" option. never tried it before, but it looks like it does exactly what you want.
