When Excel tries to "help"

When I enter the first letter in a cell, Excel tries to "help" by continuing with a previous entry. Sometimes this does actually save time but I have one spreadsheet where it is totally annoying. Can I disable that feature? What is it called?

Tools / Options / Edit
deselect [enable autocomplte for cell values]
