Link between a paragraph and Excel

I do report writing and i always have to move a
specific text between pages but some times i forget to
update the page index with the page number to where imoved the specific text.
I wonder wether it is possible to establish a link
between the page index prepared on an excel sheet and
the word document so as to update the index with
changes in location of the text which was moved.
this macro or link will have to able to recongnize the
page number of this text and always update it.

You can create bookmarks in the Word report. I'm not sure if you can reference the spot in Excel. In Word "insert" a bookmark on the page you wish to reference elsewhere, then "insert" a Cross Reference, type=bookmark and reference to = Page Number for that bookmark name in the spot you want the page number to appear. It will update when you print or can be manually updated by pressing F9.
