i want to pivot table monthly reports each report is over 13,000 records, so the year to date table will be in excess of 65000 records, if i use a different worksheet for each month can i use multiple consolidation ranges to total? If so how, I have had a few goes and the pc falls over despite 320meg of memory

You could consolidate individual PivotTables, but
you'd be constrained by the number of dimensions
these PivotTables could represent. A better
approach would be to store this data externally
and source a single PivotTable from that data.

Wouldnt I be constrained by excels 65,000 row limit? : You could consolidate individual PivotTables, but

Not necessarily. On occasion I use an ODBC text
driver to access a flat, text file containing
upwards to a half a million records.
