does anyone know of a way to figure out how the beforeprint macro was initiated, ie if print or printpreview was selected? any help is appreciated, thanks.

After reading your 500 posts on the same question I found this on Google

http://groups.google.com/groups?q=BeforePrint+Preview+group:microsoft.public.excel.programming+group:microsoft.public.excel.programming&hl=es&selm=OY4fzIwAAHA.218%40cppssbbsa02.microsoft.com&rnum=2

Maybe that can help.

Also found this one, it's a little better I feel, but it would require you to REPLACE the Print Icon And the Print Menu, in order to set PrintDisabled to False.

This just shows that they were having the same problem with Print and Print Preview with the Before_Print event.
