Set Macro security to Low if using Excel 2000 or uncheck Check for macros in the options for Excel 97.

common question, personally i hate such warnings but NEVER take off HIGH! if your on a home PC and not a great floppy user then you should be ok if your careful. At work on LAN the NIS dept should protect you but????? Just watch out for Virus file.

For the point, Macro Virus seem to be not so much in used, its all Email attachment, Navida, Boble Boy, I LOVE YOU, Ninda, Badtara, Majastra and new ion Tuesday we had Comer or Gomer all Email Attachments, from people you would know.... Excel Virus work very different to these.. but be awaire and be careful... Larux was 2 or 3 versions some years ago, French and that was a macro that wiped Hard Drive and Xls Docs, nasty it was to. Check manufactors web pager Dr Solomand, Mcfee (Network Associated) and read up on Macros Virus for more info.. just be careful, nasty people do nasty things and im sure everyone would agree with me.

Jack, you're 100 % right !
Personally, I prever to click on 'Activate Macros' rather then reinstall my entire PC...
