Shouldn't be a tough Macro but I never made one before and I need some help

I'm making a sheet where I have a pane freeze on the first row and then all the information is listed beneath that. I need something to say, "How many new rows do you want to add?" If I enter 4 then I want there to be 4 new rows (preferably with my borders still intact) beneath the frozen pane, but above the old rows. I've never worked with Macros before and have no clue even as how I would approach this. Is this possible? I appreciate all the help.

Greg,

Try this:

Assume row 1 is frozen. Make your borders as you wish from row 2 downwards. Next, highlight row 2 (click on the gray box with a '2' in it), and click 'Format', 'Row','Hide'. Row 2 then cannot be seen (but it's still there).

To insert rows below the frozen row, highlight row 3, hold the control key down and press + to insert new rows. They'll have the borders already on them. Remove rows with control -

HTH,

Ian

Ian-

Youre right this helps, but is there a way that I can enter a number and that many rows appear? I have to give this to people who want it really GUI. If not then, hey, the help is much appreciated.
