vb.net impact on Excel VBA???

A programmer here at work just went to a week long training class on the new VB version. He said that it is significantly different, even much of the snytax. This bums me out a little as I have just been getting into the language now and learning the code.

Does anybody know how this will affect future versions of Excel VBA?

Does anybody have confidence that the changes aren't really that significant???

Tim.

Hi Tim,

From a VB developers point of view the changes ARE significant. However, I'm sure you're safe for now (along with the rest of us) to continue to learn and develop in VBA. If Microsoft are going to implement .net in future versions of Excel then it probably won't be until 2004. Even then, the changes aren't so significant that you'll have to learn a new language just change your accent a bit.

D.
