    Average excluding zero

    I need to average a list of numbers, excluding the number zero. Example list: 1, 0, 2, 2, 0, 5, 0. How can you average 1, 2, 2, 5 AND exclude the zeros from calculation? Thanks!

    Average if the cell content is a number

    Hi I have a list that contains numbers and some text values. I want to calculate average of the numbers in the list (leaving text out ofcourse). I've been trying many things like SUMIF()/COUNTIF(); but I can't make it work. I am using Excel 2003 Thanks Rajesh
