    Averaging Data by Month

    I have a column of Dates (Col C) and Data (Col D) that is several thousand rows long. I want to populate Col G which is the average of Data (#) by month. I need the appropriate formula that can identify which entries in Cols C and D need to be used in the Col G average. Thanks for your help...
