1,2,3 missing in 2007 subototal

I am finally getting used to the fact that they moved EVERYTHING in Excel 2007,and I got the subtotal working. Where are the 1, 2 and 3 on the far left before the columns start to collapse the subtotal information?

If you don't see the outline symbols , , and , click the Microsoft Office Button , click Excel Options, click the Advanced category, and then under the Display for this worksheet section, select the worksheet, and select the Show outline symbols if an outline is applied check box
