I wrote a macro that imports data from another program into excel using calls to an ActiveX control. When I run this macro and others like it, my CPU usage shoots up to 100%. What's going wrong here? Do I just need to write the macro more efficiently? Could writing the data to a CSV file to be opened later in Excel speed the process up?
