I have a field with 14 digit numbers. I am trying to do a Make Table query, and keep the same field format in ACCESS 97

Field Size: Double
Format: Fixed
Decimal Places: 0

Even though this is the original field, format, when I do the make table, it defaults to

Field Size: Double
Format:
Decimal Places: Auto

How can I get it to keep the same basic format?

Thanks

How to find 2nd largest value in a column?
MAX finds the largest value. =LARGE(A:A,2) will find the second largest. =SMALL(A:A,3) will find the third smallest
Once the table is created, edit the field to what it should be. Then change your make table query to Append and see what happens.

I don't think you need to keep running the make table query do you?

no, I'm just lazy.. I knew about that solution, but I was hoping there was an easier way to code my make table queries so that the format would stay the same.
