Hey, welcome back to MrExcel netcast.
I am Bill Jelen.
Here is another tip from the Orlando seminar.
This is from Clive. Clive regular Mr.Excel.
He watches the podcast so he collared.
Thanks for this great tip.
We talking about the fill handle in the seminar.
You know of course the fill handle works great with quarters, Like that smart enough that after cube for it starts over again, but it really does not do well with quarters and years Q1 2010.
They just can't get it right its Q1 2011, 2012.
A climb showed me this great trick.
He said, hey if you can if you can live with the fact that you put the quarter number first, 1Q 2010.
Then all of a sudden they figured out what's going on and so you get 2Q, 3Q, 4Q and then they switched to 1Q 2011 to Q2 2011.
That's a great trick.
I never thought of doing it that way.
Works out really really well and it seems that you can use...
If you put the number 1Q 10, 1Q 10 that's one that will also work.
So, you can use any format you want.
Provided you put the quarter number before the letter Q and then the year number after.
So a very very cool way to go.
Like a run for stopping by.
Here in the United States.Have a great memorial day weekend.
See you ext time for another netcast from MrExcel.
