I use to be able to have multiple excel workbooks, in the same session, open and could move them from one screen to another. Under this functionality i could move or copy sheets between workbooks. IT did something to my computer and now they tell me that this functionality is not possible. they are telling me that I have to open separate excel sessions for each workbook. When I do this I can't move or copy a sheet to another workbook as excel doesn't see the other workbook.

can someone tell me what I had before so that I can tell our IT folks what to do.

thanks
Sue

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Re: 2 excel files opened on different screeens

As far as I know...

You can open multiple workbooks in one Excel window. You can make references to each workbook this way.

If you have two windows open with different workbooks in each window, you cannot make references to each workbook.

What happens when you have one window open and you try to open up multiple files?
