General question - when I open a 2007 'Excel Macro Macro Enable Workbook" it take a ridiculous long time to open and to save. When I open a 2003 file with macros in 2007 it opens immediately.

The files in question were all created in 2003 and then saved in 2007.
Has anyone else had this problem.
Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

SJ

Hi!

Assuming that Your computer is relatively up to date (not too old/slow etc) and that Your file is not stored on a server with which You have a slow connection etc:

I have seen other posts within this forum about issues regarding switching between different versions of Excel.

You can check this one to see if it could be of any help:
http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=330302

Please bear in mind that since I have no experience on this exact issue, and thus have no knowledge of any possible negative impacts this might have, please make backup before trying, as always.

Of course there might be other more technical issues, but for the "Pros" of this forum (I'm NOT one of the "Pros") that might want to jump in and help You on that, I guess more information would be needed in order to be able to help.

Best regards
