Hi

I am using windows 10 - Microsoft Office ProPlus

I have one workbook that is driving me nuts - when ever I open it a 2nd workbook opens that is entirely greyed out. I cannot close the 2nd workbook - that just closes the workbook I need to edit.

I am working with extension type .xlsx - the file is saved to our company sharepoint drive - the data is totally driven by data connections only from Power Query - and one power pivot cache is used for 4 pivot tables showing sales data in differing focuses.

I use the same sort of tbales and links for managing our customer data in other workbooks that do not have this annoying habit of open a 2nd one.

Does anyone have any idea what might be happening here and what the solution might be?

BTW I just tried opening excel in safe mode and no 2nd window was present.

Looking forward to hearing form you

Geof
