Hello,
I am trying to use Excel to produce a 3 variable histogram comparing both the number of employees and their pay scales across three different divisions. The intent is to show both size differences between divisions, as well as how much more "top heavy" a division may be.

The x-axis would be bins for the three divisions, the y-axis would be the count of employees, and I would like to display pay scale using column width. Imagine stacking legos, with small legos at the bottom corresponding to lower pay scales, and wider legos at the top corresponding to higher pay scales. Any advice?

Note: I am a government employee, so I will not be able to download any add-ins.

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
There's gotta be a better way than manually adjusting columns widths, and there are certainly more common ways. You might Google income distribution curves and lorenz curve
