Is there a way to alter the heights of the slices in a 3D pie chart?

Saw a really cool pie chart in a magazine that had pie slices that decreased in height. It was a very nice visual.

Thanks!

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Well, it might not be really cool, but if you want people to be able to actually read the chart, a 2D pie chart is better. In fact, in the vast majority of cases, a 2D bar chart is better than a 2D pie chart.

In any case, Excel only lets you adjust the height of the whole pie.

Hi Xonin_9

Welcome to the forums!

Jon is right, 3D looks fancy and users like them, but they should not be used. Jon had a recent post showing how a 3D line chart can be super confusing or extremely difficult for readers to see and interpret the data.

That being said, Debra recently showed us how to make this type of Graphic (that you describe) using excel, however, it is with smart art and not with a chart/graph.
