4 argument if statement?

hello, looking to construct a formula for a four argument statement:
if A1 is > 10, then return .30
if a1 is >=8, but <=10, then return a value that takes 100 / b2,
and lastly, if a1 is <= 8, then return .40
any thoughts please?

Try
=IF(A1>10, .3, IF(A1>=8, 100/B2, .4))

I note that your description has an ambiguity if A1=8

=IF(A1<=8,0.4,IF(A1<=10,100/B1,0.3))
