I need a means, in excel 2007, to compare all cells in a two separate columns and should there be any row that both columns have matching entries (excluding spaces around the entry) delete the entire column.

Excel Facts

Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)

Running this routine will delete both columns if any row has matching entrys.
Remove either of the .Delete lines if you want one of the columns not deleted.
Code:
Sub test()
    Dim formulaString As String
    With ActiveSheet.Range("A:A"): Rem adjust for one column
        With Range(.Cells(1, 1), .Cells(.Rows.Count, 1).End(xlUp))
            formulaString = "TRIM(" & .Address(, , xlR1C1) & ")"
            With .Offset(0, 1): Rem adjust for other column
                formulaString = "=OR(" & formulaString & "=TRIM(" & .Address(, , xlR1C1) & "))"
                With .Offset(.Rows.Count, 0).Resize(1, 1)
                    .FormulaArray = formulaString
                    If Not (.Value) Then
                        .ClearContents
                        Exit Sub
                    End If
                End With
                .EntireColumn.Delete
            End With
            .EntireColumn.Delete
        End With
    End With
End Su
