I was asked to build a simple access form to allow our sales force to enter forecasting information. Everything works great. The sales rep. enters the month, item and qty for a specific customer. Pretty simple!

Unfortunately, there has been one requested modification, which has toubled me. The powers that be, would like to have auto-populated each month auto-populated with an item, for every customer. Right now, the rep would have to enter a new line if there were no Sep-09 forecast for item A. Its a hard situation to describe, does anyone know of an example that might help?

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
I have been only using Access for about three months so my knowledge may be limited. But if I understand your issue correctly I would enter a default value (entering the item you wish to have auto-populate) ,under field properties.
